[Waiting patiently outside Solomon's residence was one April, calmly sipping her tea and looking as though she was merely enjoying the sun, not scooping out the place. Of course, the minute Solomon leaves is the minute April starts counting under her breath. Ten minutes later, she's striding through the door and taking the elevator up to the penthouse.]

[Someone had a place to rob! To bad she's forgetting something Solomon had said once. Something about a roommate... Lock pick tools in hand, April's busy at the door. There was just one thing nagging at her, and it wasn't her forgetfulness over the roommate, but rather the lack of security. No wires, no keypad, just a deadbolt and a lock? Pins sliding into place, April slowly turned the doorknob with her left, holding her breath as she listened in at the door.]

[And then she squeezed herself inside.]

((ooc: open to Solomon and Marishka))

To resolve to do the dishes, scrub the floor, stay on top of the laundry. To vow to find someone to take all that Guinness off my hands, and to get my hair dyed. Maybe Red this time? A darker shade of blue? I should get a manicure as well. It's been a while. A regular old girl's day out is what I need.

I should make it a habit.

To remember the things I can't remember. Like that photo I have in my room. Can't remember who the man is or the child, but I'm pretty sure I've never had a kid and the guy ain't my type. Makes you wonder what else was forgotten.

So, this whole making resolutions thing, that means they have to happen, right? I wonder what conclusion I'll be making a month or a year from now, but I can guarantee, not all of these will happen.

[Irritated, surly, frustrated, wound-up, overwrought, angry. April knew a hundred ways to describe what she was feeling and not a single one of the them was supposed to be possible. Cue more frustration as she continued whipping up the icing, laving it unto the misshapen cake she had made today in firm strokes that nearly destroyed the too warm cake.]

[Had she mentioned she was a mite impatient as well?]

[But that was another thing she never did. Bake. Sure, she made the odd fish and chips here and there, heated up a tv dinner there, even dabbled a bit sometimes in grilling, but April didn't bake. If she felt like something sweet, she bought something sweet. Her job didn't always leave her time for domestic chores but today she felt compelled. She couldn't get him out of her mind.]

[muttering]
July better appreciate this cake.

[Exasperated, April stood there, hands on her hips as she eyed it critically, not pleased with the results, but not willing to spend another Indigo on a cake mix when she'd already been through two. Throwing up her hands, she tossed her dirty utensils into the sink with all the rest.]

Whatever. I'm done with this. [April picked up her device, hoping to find an outlet for her stress when she noticed the recording. Narrowing her eyes, she swore, flicking it off. What the hell?!]

((ooc: borrowing Umi's temper and need to bake for people she loves idea.))

Exposition )

Well, well... Now wasn't that an odd experience: bolting down an alley just because I heard a loud noise. Never thought I'd do that considering I'm usually the one making all the noise in the establishment.

[sharp laugh]

I don't know which is worse, the fact I'm put off my beer, or that I just ran away from it. It'd be nice if there was an easy way to get rid of these curses.
