006 - [Video] Why is it always to late to say goodbye?

[It'd been nearly a week since November's last contact and April had started to suspect this was more than a simple, 'not wanting to be found' incident. She had been investigating the frequency rate of disappearances and it would not be against all probability that November would be among the next batch of those who had disappeared. Which is why she had gone to the Hall of the Missing.]

[Trust November to find a way out and leave her behind to clean up his messes. He never meant ill, but it did seem to be a reoccurring theme of late. Even more dissatisfying was the knowledge November was most likely dead. For a second time. He never did do things by halves.]

[Coming out of the hall of the missing, April flicked on the network device and stared calmly into the recorder.]

It would seem that Jack Simon --some of you may have known him as November 11-- has left the city. I will be tendering his belated Note of Resignation to the proper authorities at City Solutions today and will do my best to tidy up any loose ends until a replacement can be found.

Until then, please limit your inquiries except for in cases of emergencies. They won't be handled otherwise.

[disconnects]

[Now to determine the best manner to avoid going crazy. Perhaps tomorrow she'd...]

Hello. [pause] How's the violin? Is it working properly now?

[identity profile] favoritetraitor.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 06:52 am (UTC)(link)
Probably. But not by my hands, I'm afraid. I've never been very interested in taking up the art.

[identity profile] bill-to-sis.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
That's a shame. You were so convinced the other day that music was your passion.

[100% smirking on the inside]

My family was strongly invested in the Arts, so naturally I have a deep affection for it. But I prefer to leave artistic things for those with the talent for it.

That's for the best. It was a little grating on the ears the other day.

[identity profile] favoritetraitor.livejournal.com 2010-11-18 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
How... straightforward of an assessment.

[identity profile] bill-to-sis.livejournal.com 2010-11-28 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
Would you rather I tell a lie?

[identity profile] favoritetraitor.livejournal.com 2010-11-28 06:04 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose not, although I imagine it could have been phrased with a little more finesse.

[identity profile] bill-to-sis.livejournal.com 2010-11-28 06:09 am (UTC)(link)
[gives a shrug]

I'll keep that in mind for next time. So did you have unfinished business with Mr. Simon?

[identity profile] favoritetraitor.livejournal.com 2010-11-28 06:13 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, no. Not at all. I don't believe I had the pleasure of his acquaintance.

Tell me, what does he do for a living?

[identity profile] bill-to-sis.livejournal.com 2010-11-28 06:37 am (UTC)(link)
He dabbled a little in public relations for City Solutions. You... may have heard of them?

[she'd hate to assume~]

[identity profile] bill-to-sis.livejournal.com 2010-11-28 06:42 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, then I'm sure you're aware I can't elaborate on the rest of his duties.

[Not that November had told her all of them. He was still bringing her on board when he left.]

[identity profile] favoritetraitor.livejournal.com 2010-11-28 06:46 am (UTC)(link)
That's quite alright. It's not anything that concerns me.

Would I be right in assuming that you work for them as well?

[identity profile] bill-to-sis.livejournal.com 2010-11-28 07:03 am (UTC)(link)
In an unofficial capacity. I was handling Mr. Simon's personal effects while he worked until he could bring me on board with the company.

[identity profile] favoritetraitor.livejournal.com 2010-11-28 07:30 am (UTC)(link)
Is that still your ambition?

[identity profile] bill-to-sis.livejournal.com 2010-11-28 07:33 am (UTC)(link)
Are you offering me an alternative?

[identity profile] favoritetraitor.livejournal.com 2010-11-28 07:36 am (UTC)(link)
That would depend entirely on what skills you have to offer.

[identity profile] bill-to-sis.livejournal.com 2010-11-28 08:05 am (UTC)(link)
You're a little impulsive with your hiring. But my resume is a little long. I would hate to bore you with the extraneous details.

[identity profile] favoritetraitor.livejournal.com 2010-11-28 08:10 am (UTC)(link)
Am I? I don't believe I've hired anyone yet~.

ARTEMIS is always seeking talented individuals to join our ranks. But you can't expect me to consider you if I don't see or hear what skill sets you possess.

[identity profile] bill-to-sis.livejournal.com 2010-11-29 12:59 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, but to even be considering a stranger whom you barely met for a position that may or may not be open is still a bit impulsive wouldn't you say?

[definitely amused by this]

I have any number of skills. Organization is one of them. Escorting clientele is another. I've even been known to host a few parties now and then. [which usually ended in someone's death but...]
